Steven Graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Finance and Systems (BComm.) and is currently admitted to practise as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and of the High Court of Australia.
Steven has over thirty years experience as a legal practitioner working both for himself and in larger Sydney based firms. Steven has specialised in Estate Disputes and Supreme Court Family Provision Claims and Estate Planning for the past eighteen years. Previously, he specialised in Civil and Criminal litigation. He also practices in Conveyancing and Property Law, and Family Law Property Settlements.

Steven played soccer for Woonona Sharks Soccer Club, and was the Secretary of Woonona Senior Soccer Club throughout his playing career. Taylor graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GradDip(LP)) and is currently admitted to practise as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, and as a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia.
Taylor has experience in all areas of general legal practice, including property law, employment law, consumer law, and estate law (primarily wills and probate / letters of administration, and non-contentious estate advice) having worked at McAneny Lawyers for 6 years. Taylor's particular interests and expertise are in:
- Estate Disputes and Litigation – particularly claims made pursuant to the Succession Act (claims for family provision)
- Family Law – Property Settlements
- Civil Litigation, Commercial and Corporate Law
Taylor has acted for interstate and overseas clients in estate disputes and family law and is happy to conduct telephone and skype conferences to facilitate this.
Notably, Taylor can offer practical and cost-effective advice, and will strive to achieve the best result possible without having to proceed to Court. If however Taylor cannot achieve an amicable settlement out of court, Taylor is experienced in litigating matters in all Civil jurisdictions including the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Federal Circuit Court, and Family Court of Australia.

James Howell is an experienced solicitor who practices exclusively in criminal law and criminal defence litigation is the core of his legal skills. He is accredited by the Law Society of NSW as a criminal law specialist.
James has extensive experience throughout all court levels of criminal litigation including the conduct of Supreme Court bail applications, District Court sentence hearings and appeals, instructing in complex District Court & Supreme Court trials and litigating Local Court & Children’s Court defended hearings, sentence proceedings and traffic matters.
James is available to provide consultation and legal advice to persons in custody or on remand at all metropolitan and regional correctional and remand centres.
James is on the panel of approved solicitors for the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales in General Crime, Children’s Court Crime, Indictable Crime and Serious and Complex Crime. James is willing and available to do Legal Aid work.
James volunteers with the NSW Law Society Mock Trial Competition and the University of Wollongong Advocacy program as a magistrate and is also active in providing pro bono legal help and advice for disadvantaged members of our community.
When he is not busy defending clients he is often found surfing the waves around the Illawarra and snowboarding the peaks of Australia, Japan and beyond.
